Network Marketing LeadsFor anyone in the MLM industry, network marketing leads is the key to success in your business, if youre looking for network marketing lead generation, look no further. . . Are you struggling to generate enough leads for your network marketing business? If youre like most people you are excited to see some signs of success in your business. The real sign of success is a steady flow of prequalified and targeted prospects to talk to and market to. So how do you find these targeted leads, especially on the Internet? Wouldnt you love to be able to focus on other aspects of your business, while generating leads? Wouldnt you love the freedom of knowing your business is pumping out fresh qualified leads all the time so you can focus on something else like growing your business, spending more quality time with your family, or getting another aspect of your marketing rolling. Well the good news is: you can! Once youve put your lead generation system on autopilot it really frees you up to focus on something else in your business. This is so important for your success. Imagine opening up your email account to find 10 or 20 fresh new leads for you to call every morning, and these arent just leads, theyre leads who have paid you! Yep, leads you pay you to prospect them. Its not too good to be true. So how do you make it happen? You deliver quality, focused, content and services that can help your prospects solve their common problem and provide them a good consultive approach to helping them build their business. Whether you are marketing to generate product focused or business building leads is up to you. I think the best way is to do both. You might be asking yourself what qualifies me to teach you about building a team and a real profitable business on the Internet. If you are asking yourself that question I congratulate you because there are many promises made on the Internet that are totally unverifiable. Skepticism is one of the biggest assets you can have while you build your business. I am a former wildland firefighter who has been lucky enough to carve out a niche and a substantial income solely using the power of the Internet to build my business. You might be asking yourself how I've done it. . . well let me tell you it hasn't been easy. When I got started on the Internet I found there were thousands of claims of "easy riches" and "proven systems." I found out firsthand exactly, HOW NOT to build a business. There are some great tools to use, this is one of them, but they will only work for you if you are consistant in your work with them. You have to act, that is the biggest of the network marketing secrets. Consistant action. 1. Network Marketing Leads and the Power of Linking The power of generating network marketing leads comes when you realize how to link all your online content together and to get Google to recognize the value of the "web of content" you are building.
Building this content is just simply a matter of taking the knowledge in your head and putting it onto paper (well this is the Internet so more like cyberspace, but you get the point). The next step is linking your content together in a way that makes sense not only to you, but to your visitors, and to the search engines themselves.
THis is not SEO (search engine optimization) in the true sense of the word, it is value delivery, because the search engines reward websites for offering value, by building a network of sites and pages focused on your chosen topic, you position yourself as the primary value provider in your niche. The rewards for doing this are huge, not only are you building a priceless network of content and value for yourself, you're helping others gain knowledge they're seeking. If you position yourself well, link your content web together intelligently, and provide true value to your visitors you can and will build a lead generation funnel that will rival the "gurus" of the industry. The really powerful other aspect of building your online business this way is the power of replication. For regular people who are not in network marketing may not sbe aware of this, but if you're in an MLM business, you know how important training your team and downline is to the success of failure of your venture.
When you build a content web like I'm recommending your prospects learn by following your marketing, not only are you encouraging them to "buy," you're teaching them to succeed at the same time. Those who want to succeed come through the lead generation/prospecting funnel, those who can't follow directions fall out along the way.
So What's the Result For You? A bigger stronger business, full of hot ready to buy leads, empowered team members who can and have followed the system. So the right place to start today is to check out my Squidoo lens on generating network marketing leads. This is the right place for you to start really delving into building your own content web, and filling your lead generation funnel.
2. The Secret to Generating Network Marketing Leads "What's the secret?" To what? To network marketing leads. It's almost legendary how often people talk about these MLM companies encouraging their reps to go out an buy leads from leads companies. It's almost silly. If these leads were so great why wouldn't the employees at these companies keep them for themself?
It's ridiculous. THese leads get sold, over and over again to unsuspecting people who have no clue that the lead they're paying a couple bucks for has been sold 15 or 20 times.
No wonder network marketing has got a bad reputation. But that's all about to change. With the new model of "attraction marketing" you no longer have to struggle to buy leads from these unscrupulous leads companies, you should and can simply generate your own leads.
Where do you start? At the beginning of course. If you are really wanting to start generating network marketing leads you have to figure out what and who is your target market. Once you've figure that out it's time to move into the exact "profile" of your target. Figuring out exactly who you're going to speak to is the difference between trying to do surgery with a scalpel or a butcher knife. Both will bring results. Only one is the kind you're looking for.
So as you flesh out who exactly your target market is, you build a funnel of content on the web, simply using free programs and networks like Squidoo, hubpages, myspace, and facebook to really expand your network and create a sysnergy between each element of your marketing system. It's really powerful.
3. The Secrets of Generating Network Marketing Leads Want to know the secret to generating network marketing leads? Well I'm here to say that it's no real secret, there is a strategy behind it, but no secret afterall.
See when I started in network marketing I was all over the place. Writing content piece after content piece, trying to figure out exactly what people were looking for. It was all very scattered, loose ends were flying everywhere. My marketing didn't make any sense, there was no rhyme or reason to what I was doing, and as a result my business suffered.
Flash forward two years, now I generate many leads everyday, and the thing is I work less than I did before. Want to know what the real difference is? It's the fact that my marketing has purpose. It has strategy, and each piece of my marketing build on the other pieces that have come before it.
It's kind of like building a wall, you have to get the foundation down before you can do anything else. But once the foundation is down, all the bricks that come afterward just kind of fit into place.
Am I making sense to you? I hope I am, it would be easier if you could see how an online network marketing lead generation campaign goes together, so neatly. Do you feel like you have loose ends flying all over in your marketing?
I know where you are, but the truth is I can help you, and truth be told it's not really me who's helping you, it's the system I use, to make all the ends braid together like bricks in the wall. One after one they all go together, and your business gorws.
I can help you build your online network marketing leads generation campaign. Plea ego to the page I just hyperlinked to and follow the dots from there. It's a very powerful strategy, and it will help you.
follow your dreams
and they will find you,
Jesse Boland

4. How Many Network Marketing Leads do You Need? How many network marketing leads do you need to find MLM success? I guess that really depends on how you define success. I know for me and my business, I don't really go for the fast cars, and big mansions that we see being advertised all over the web by these guys that really can only be described as douchebags.
I can stand that stuff, and I find it disrespectful to all of us professionals who are trying to give network marketing a better name and turn it into a real viable solution for regular people like you and me.
So how many network marketing leads do you need to become successful? I believe when you do it right you could truely recruit only 4 people into your business, and then train them the right way, nurture them into being successful, teach them how to build a real reputable business, and show them how to build a real organization. You'd never have to generate another lead again.
5. Network Marketing Leads: Develop Your Marketing System Developing a way to generate network marketing leads is the most important thing you do as a network marketer.. If there is anything else as important as lead generation, I've yet to find it.
The reason I make this claim is not because I have some secret I'm ging to hide from you, or because I believe my system is the only one that works. Different systems work differently. Whether you use Google adwords or you use organic search engine positioning through Veretekk like I do. Both systems work, both ways bring specific types of people into your marketing funnel.
I have a hard time with some of these folks who make many claims about these "automated" systems they use where the developers recommend everyone going out and doing the exact same thing. Like going out and getting a google blog through blogger.com, and getting a Youtube account then posting tons of videos.
I dont see these types of strategies as being a long term solution for peoples business. Not only do these types of tactics go against the spirit of social networking, they are ultimately inneffective once Google's algorythm changes.
Google goes out of its way to delete spam from it's pages, if you don't want to end up getting tossed out like yesterday's bathwater you'll start paying attention to what kind of content you are posting on the web. It's really important.
If you're serious about generating network marketing leads through organic search engine positioning it's important you really start paying attention to what's good content, and what isn't.
6. Network Marketing Leads -Veretekk Training One of the most powerful marketing courses I've found on the Internet is Veretekk Training.
Have you gone to one yet? It's pretty amazing that hundreds of so called gurus offer these marketing courses for thousands of dollars and you can actually get training for free in an interactive conference room for free.
I don't know about you, but if I were a beginning marketer I'd be on those trainings like a fat man on a hamburger. And when I started I was, I attended hundreds of the free Veretekk training sessions and I learned a lot.
For a while there I really questioned whether I was going to figure out this online marketing thing, but eventually I did and it's been totally worth it.
So I recommend you get in on the Veretekk trainings today. Here's a link you can use if you wan to generate more network marketing leads and make sure to register for the training too.
7. Network Marketing Leads Developing your own network marketing leads generation strategy is the key to your success in network marketing. I know the gurus say that you should follow their "systems" but the thing is you should take elements of their systems and turn that into your own system.
Building your business this way your business makes sense to you and you build something that works to attain your goals and asperations for your business. Right now I'm writing a webpage about automated lead generattion systems, and I'm tryying to break down the real essential elements of my lead generation system.
I know the importance of content, what your site looks like is really important too, but I believe the most essential part of your lead generation system is the Information you give away to your prospects
Some people hoard their information like it's gold, while others give it away freely. I like to give mine awya freely with no expactation that I'm going to get anything in return.
And every day I have more and more network marketing leads, coming to me, like clockwork. I see no reason to change the way I'm running my business. Lead generation is really a matter of developing a system that works well for you. It need not be complicated, just help others find the answers they're looking for and do it with some class, and people will be happy to do business with you.
Thanks for listening,
Jesse Boland
8. Network Marketing Lead Generation The synergy of network marketing lead generation. . . finding synergy is the key to all good things in business Synergy is the realationship between the target customer, the message you send out, and the product you deliver. Synergy is sometimes very illusive. It's hard to find when you start out especially. It's kind of like your message can't nail down what exactly your product does, the solution it provides your prospects.
To overcome this often marketers resort to hype, and this is the killing blow for them. Hype will ruin your reputation faster than almost anything else.
So where do you start? Why not at the beginning of the sales funnel? The internet provides almost unlimited access to prospects, the key is to find those who are willing to buy if they're presented with the right offer for the right product. Crafting your message must be done with care and with the benefit of your prospect in mind.
9. Why Do People Still Buy Leads? I spent thousands of dollars on leads when I first got involved in network marketing. I thought that was the path to becoming successful. I soon learned however that buying leads, unless you're already wealthy is the fastest way to getting broke in the MLM industry.
It's my intention to help other network marketers discover the futility of buying leads before their businesses go out of business. Buying leads is totally worthless for most people. You must learn to generate leads if you're hoping for any type of success in your Internet marekting or network marketing business.
It's really that simple. You must create your own virtual team, and build a marketing system that prequalifies prospects automatically.
10. How to create your own leads from your website Lead generation is not easy, despite what you've heard from many of th gurus out there. Persuading people to see thinks from your point of view in order to get them to take a small action, what Seth Godin calls a "shy yes" is partly a matter of putting your prospect's internal dialogue back into his or her head. Repeating what your prospect is thinking is key to persuasion. So how do we get into our prospect's head enough to talk to them without the filter? It's a matter of becoming close to your prospect. Becoming their friend, when you talk to your friend you don't tense up and try to sell them on your ideas right? Your words flow, you speak freely, off the cuff and you have a dialogue. Dialogue is good, monologue is not so good.
11. Would You rther pay 10 Bucks or .10 Cents to Generate Network Marketing Leads? Okay maybe that seems to be an easy question to answer. We all would rather pay .10 cents for network marketing leads, the answer is clear. But do you have a plan to pay nothing for your leads?
In business there is a term for this: scalability, which is a babblish word for the ability to grow your business systematically. Basically putting systems in place so your business can grow larger without changing the core. You have the ability to expand with your business, rather because your systems work so well. On the internet this can be done much easier than in the brick and mortar world. Where the cost of overhead is so high, and the ability to put more people in your place of business is decreased.
on the internet with the rise of virtual teams and workforces your ability to grow your business is only decreased by the inability to scale your business. That is key to your growth. In my business I'm only hindered by the amount of systems in place to allow me to grow outword. It's a huge step in gmaking more money, generating more leads, and influencing more people.
12. The Art of Happiness and it's Impact on Lead Generation I read a Squidoo lens this morning all about being happy right now. It doesn't matter if that's in your business or just simply in your life, being happy right now is all about realizing how you have everything you need in your life, right now, and you are fulfilled by your life.
It's a difficult concept for me personally, because trend toward the serious all the time, but I'm beginning to see the value in being happy with myself in the moment. It makes you feel better, you communicate from a better place. Your influence grows as people are drawn to your personality, energy, and want to be around you more.
THis is key to becoming a marketing magnet is creating good vibes around yourself and what you're putting into the universe or marketplace.
In this way you draw better, more positive people into your arena, and those who are negative are not drawn to you in the same way. I know this to be true. When I focused on opportunity and money, what I call "lack marketing" the leads I created were people who didn't have enough, they were needy leads,, and none of them had the fortitude to build their own business in any way shape or form. This is so important to your lead generation and business success.
13. How Just a Few More Well-Chosen Words can Generate 200% More, Better Quality Leads Why is communication is key to lead generation?
In marketing, as with life, communication is key to seeing good results. Words are what ultimately communicate our position, present our offering and generate leads for our business. Without words communication would not exist. Okay so this isn't some grand idea.
It's pretty amazing how badly we are taught in school to communicate directly. We think that by following some kind of "ettiquette" we are doing ourselves and others such a great favor. But really when you break it down, the true mavens of communication talk and communicate directly, yet their impact and influence on others is perceived in a good way.
So how can we all do the same?
When we start saying what we mean by targeting what our objective is with our communication. For example, when I first wrote the title to this blog post I wrote: "A Lead Generation Tip," yep that was the title. Do you see how we're naturally dispositioned to understate what our real object is?
So that's why we want to start with the object or target of our communication, which is, for this post, "Generate More Leads" Okay simple enough. Where it gets tricky is where you move to how to achieve "more leads" That is for tommorow.
Thanks, With a servant's heart, Jesse Boland
14. Who Are You Talking To? Target Audience vs. Target Profile Which One Works 100% Better? Lead Generation is About Trading Value for Value
Most people understand that, and when they are willing to trade some of their personal information in exchange for some information you are willing to give them, you generate a lead and your prospect receives something in return.
So if this is true, why do people continue to target an audience as if by being persuasive to the masses is going to geenrate more leads for their business or make them more popular. The truth is the "shotgun" approach to lead generation is probably the most detrimental to your business. We all want to be smart, tio be perceived well in our prospect's eyes, but if you're not converting the people viewing your offering to opting into becoming a lead for your business there's something wrong in your communication.
Believe me it's not your fault!
We're not taught to communicate straight forward, but in the world of sales and marketing you must be tactful, but direct. Your prospect's don't wan to be talked to like polititions would talk to them. They want to be sucked into your copy, to be communicated with. They want the visceral reaction and gut-wrenching "AHA moment" that only comes when you feel their problem and lead them toward a solution.
Let's take, for example, a single mother of two kids. . . which headline do you think she's got the time to sit down and read? "Parent's Do You Have Enough Time During the Day?" or "Single Mothers: 3 Simple Steps You Can Take to Gain 1 Full Hour More Sleep Today" Okay, so maybe it's not perfect, but you understand what I'm getting at. . .
In your marketing communication when you target a profile, one person, and really talk to them you're reward will be more leads, better relationships with your prospects, and yes you'll ultimately earn more money.
Thanks, With a servant's heart, Jesse Boland (208) 267-5127
15. Lead Generation Secrets If you're in the MLM or network marketing industry you have heard about leads
You know how important leads are to your success or failure in business. You can start geenrating leads today, if you want to start receiving leads day after day, you need to learn only a few basic rules of matching your valuable content to your prospects' wants and desires. Finding a target market and selling your products or services to it is not as hard as you might think. It's important to remember the three R's of generating leads via Google and the "Top Three Search Engines"
The three R's are:
- Relevance
- Respect
- Relationships
You cannot cheat to build relationships, but there are shortcuts you can take to really start building your sphere-of-influence in business. Everything relates back to how much value you give to your audience. It's important, everything starts with value. You can not expect to reap the rewards of business without offering value to your market first.
16. Turning Words Into Leads: How To Generate A Better Propect By Being Yourself For about an entire year on the Internet I struggled to generate enough leads to sustain my business. It wasn't my fault, that i didn't know how to generate leads, it was really a result of not knowing how to give away value in order to reap the reward of attraction marketing.
On the Internet everything is driven by content, that is the words you use while you write. Google and the other search engines like yahoo and msn all are driven by content, the more words you have, the more focused those words are on a certain topic, and the more the search engine love you receive, hence the more prospects you generate.
It's a pretty simple concept. Where it get's difficult is where the new marketer wants to enter a market where they don't exactly know how to do the thing they're trying to attract people with. Let's say their keyword is "work from home" it's a great keyword and if you had good positioning on Google for that keyterm you'd have a steady supply of great leads, but the fact is your words define you to your target audience. So the new marketer, wanting to take a typical sales person approach to their business is going to pitch their audience with the typical hypy content, losing many sales along the way. As one of my mentors says: “Pay attention. Know your products and your prospects. If you do, you can win sales in any situation. You may know your products but not your prospects. Then, for every sale you make, you will lose another.”
Gary Gagliardi
Author of The Art of War and The Art of Sales
We all should know the people we're talking to, and being yourself while writing your content is one of the biggest advantages your business has. Being yourself online is such a benefit for your business online whether your trying network marketing lead generation or selling life insurance, it doesn't matter. Marketing is a matter of getting your prospects to know you like you and trust you, in that order. If you can do this you're ahead of 99.9% of the other marketers out there. Be yourself, be yourself when you write, and your lead generation will become that much easier. If you're looking for a good content delivery system check out Network marketing Lead Generation blog

17. The Power of Singular Purpose I was at a meeting the other day with a bunch of people I get together with to talk about business and the discussion came around to having a "singular purpose" in order to find success in our personal and business lives. I have to admit I have a hard time coming up with a strategy for "singular purpose" in my life.
I struggle with stuffing 100 pounds of crap into a 10 pound bag syndrome, and it makes my life pretty unmanagable at times. I'm pulled in 100 directions and end up giving short shrift to many different areas of my life.
Sometimes it feels like being of "many minds" is like a disease. I know it makes life really hard for me at times. Where I find the most clarity in my life is when I can just start my day by getting the hardest thing out of the way first.
Thanks,
Jesse
18. Lead Generation for your Network Marketing Business If you're serious about becoming successful in network marketing, lead generation must become your primary focus. It's that pure and simple, you must persuade people to look at and interest them enough to ask for more information. The great thing is, is the Internet is tailor made for influencing people to look deeper at your offering.
However, before you can begin generating leads, you must first figure out how to generate traffic, to put your offer in front of people who can make a descision. To do this myou must find an angle for how you are going to position yourself in your marketplace. What are you going to talk about? First you should ask yourself. What interests you?
THis is probably the most overlooked question the new network marketer faces, but it really is the turning point from failure to success. If you can figure out who you are within your marketplace first, every other piece of the marketing puzzle falls into line much quicker.
Often I'm asked whether or not the new marketer should write about business. My answer is, "Is it your passion?" Most times the new marketer will answer "No." Figuring this out early really will help you along the way. You can write about almost anything and still generate leads for your business.
If you're passionate about health, write about health, if you love books write about books. The only caveate I have is your topic should in some way realte to your network marketing products or business in some way, so that way you can segue from talking about your passion to giving a recommendation to your readers, some will become a great network marketing lead others won't. No muss, no fuss. Check out the Renegade University for more great information and network marketing lead generation tips

19. Step #1 to Generate More Leads: Getting Clear Do we sabotage ourselves on purpose? I imagine we don't, but at times its surprising how difficult it is to visualize the outcome we desire. Sure we can conceptualize success: "I want to make more money", "I want more leads to contact me interested in my business".
And on and on, but when we really get down to brass tacks about numbers, or what type of people we want to contact us, we start vacilating about whether or not it's even possible. This is what paralyses us from moving forward, and makes us sit and stagnate where we're at.
It's also a trait that most great people don't struggle with. While many of us doubt our abilities, and plan toward our strengths, great visionary business people forge forward toward their goals, with a clear intent and purpose in mind.
That is my personal goal and it probably should be yours as well if you're having a hard time coming up with a lead generation strategy for your business. Get clear on what your goals are, have exact numbers about what you want to earn, leads you'd like to generate daily, and profile types of people you'd like to work with.
Trust you have the knowledge and skills to do what's needed, you just need to get clear in what you want and move forward with a clear strategy. I think this is the key to a successful start.

20. The Inner Game of Business If there is one thing I struggle with on a routine basis in my business it's staying "on task" Sometimes it's a real chore to get done exactly what I want to get done. I'm not exactly sure why I struggle so hard either, but I'm coming to a conclusion that it is a mental block rather than my inability to know what needs to be done.
I was reading The Inner game of Tennis last night and Gallway talks about how Self 1 (your mind) tenses up any time Self 2 (your body) has to act. It's pretty clear that there is a huge lack of trust between my body and my mind. I find focus really only when I allow my mind a breather from it's need to control my body. How do I do this? Well I've journalled for a while now. It's not like I'm writing any greate creative stuff in my journal, but for me I'm naturalizing my minds ability to let go and allowing my body and mind to flow together in order to get words on paper.
This is pretty huge for me, because as a Type A personality I tend to hold on far too tight to things that I should let go of. My life and business would improve simply through the act of leeting go, and trusting the process. Trust is the key to getting more done, trusting yourself to do the work, trusting your marketing to generate leads, trusting your mind to allow your body to write. It's all about finding that flow state in your work, where there is no real conscious thought given to what you're doing - you just do and trust the process.

21. The Strategy of Blogging Do you use a blog as one of your main business strategies? You should. I have been blogging, off and on, for about wo years and I know for a fact the power of the Internet combined with RSS feeds and spreading your net across the Internet, is the most powerful lead generation and business strategy for the little guy. Think of your Internet presence as an octopus, as you work, your octopus grows bigger and bigger, you link each thing you do tot he last thing you did and your net just gets bigger and bigger. All roads begin leading deeper into your web naturally, without manipulating anything, it's really important to understand why this works. Search engines are constantly looking for fresh, focused content on any subject, the best most relevant content wins. 22. Is Community Part of Your Business Strategy If there is one true competative advantage you have in business it is your ability to influence and work with great people. As a one-man-army for my small Internet business, I know hoe frustrating and alone it sometimes feels to work by yourself, to have to shoulder the load of all responsibility and to wear all the hats. I think that's really where community comes into play for me.
I'm part of several online social networking sites and they keep me sane when I feel overwhelmed by the everyday grind of building my websites, and trying to wear all the hats. I can go there and ask my questions, rant, rave, or brag. I don't feel alone because I know they're all there too. For a a one-man-band there's not much more you can ask for than that.
In the competitivce environment of business it's nice to knw you're cared about by your peers, to know you have support despite the remote nature of the Internet, and to know you have people watching your back. It's comforting.

23. Network Marketing Lead Generation: Are You Willing To Become Successful? The willingness to be successful is a powerful concept. Mark Joyner goes through the "Law of Focused Attention" in his Simpleology course In order to hit a target you must focus enough attention on a target in order to hit it. Are you willing to focus your attention on your goals long enough to get what you want?
24. Are You a Willing Business Strategist? I could never figure out about why I wasn't making money in my business unti I read Sun Tzu's "art of War it really opened my eye to the fact that I had no foothold or position from which I could put together a campaign. As a newcomer to the Internet, I wasn't in a position of "the expert" I was in the position of the "newbie" but the thing was my pride got in the way of me really accepting the fact that I didn't know what I was doing.
And pride is still something I struggle with constantly in my business. I want to know the answers, and when I don't I tend to rely on the best answer I can come up with at the moment.
I only really began gaining ground (position) on building a real business when I let go of my need to be right. I put down my pride and became willing to accept I was not in control. I went to the basics, I would say I went back to the basics, but I never started with the basics so I couldn't go back.
It's not easy for people like me, Type A driven people to accept they're not in control, it's even hard for people like me to be perceived as someone who's not in control. That's almost scarier.
So my business strategy started with the fact "I don't have the knowledge or skills to come up with a real strategy." And then I went looking for the simplest answers I could find. And I found, as in real life, business is about representing yourself as someone who is willing to help others solve their problems-simple. You are a problem solver, either your service or product solves your prospect's problem or it doesn't. But this can be compounded by the fact that either you or your prospect might not know what they need. And this is where educational based selling comes into play. You have to educate your prospect on their problem, and your solution to it. It's really that simple. I'll write more tomorrow.
Thanks,

25. The Network Marketing Secret? Do you believe there's a network marketing secret? FOr the longest time I did, I didn't understand how I could work so hard and see so little from my focused actions. At least at the time I thought they were focused. I've learned since then that the only real secret to business and network marketing is consistant focused actions with the goals in mind.
Let me explain. I have a hard time remaining on a course of action, I spread my eeforts around too much and too thin. I would see a little improvement in one area of my business, then I'd focus on another area, and forget about the one that was working.
As I've learned, slowly, is that focus on what's working, optimize it as much as you possibly can, automate the process, and perfect it, them move onto another tactic or strategy, that works. It's definately not rocket science.
It is however, focus and determination to succeed.
If you don't have the determination to succeed how can you ever expect to? The Japanese have a concept called Kaizen, which is basically the idea of continual consistant improvement of your business process. Business is never static, it is always moving; either forward or backward. On the Internet this process can happen extremely fast. People can go from making no sales one day to making hundreds the next, the reverse is also true.
So how do you get your business moving forward in a systematic fashion, and focus on the right business strategy that works best for you? You focus on what works.

26. Network Marketing Lead Generation Secrets Hello, I started another new blog today focusing on network marketing lead generation.
If there was one thing I'd go back and do all over again if I started in my business fresh today, is learn how to generate more and better quality leads from the beginning. It's so important to the health and wealth of your business. For the longest time I got caught in the trap of talking about my opportunity. I thought that was what it was all about. . . everyone try and convince that "my opportunity is better than yours."
I couldn't have been more wrong, it's less about opportunity and more about the education you receive from working toward you goals in your choosen business. It's the process that makes you a winner, walking step-by-step along the path from newbie to mastery.
I still have a long way to go to master the secrets of network marketing lead generation, but I'm that much closer today than I was yesterday. I see these vast improvements in my process, my strategy of marketing on the internet, that it is very humbling that I acheived any type of success when I first went into business for myself. I did everything wrong!
But here I am three years later, a little grayer around the temples, but much wiser too. It's really exciting when a plan starts coming together. I just followed the footsteps of those who went before me. Put together a strategy that worked well for my
- personality
- budget
- skill set
- resources
- plans for the future
- schedule
It was really that simple. I have a hard time with simple, my brain wants complicated, so I really have to try hard to stay focused on each task as it presents itself. So sticking to my plan-of-action is more a lesson in discipline than it is in complicated knowledge or secrets. That's really it: there is no big secret. It takes pure focus and determination combined with the right tools to make any business work out for you.
Thanks for reading,

27. Virtual Team Building What have you heard about virtual team building? If you haven't heard much let me let you in a little secret. The world is headed in the direction of virtual teams. With the advance of telecommuting, broadband internet service, and the globalization of markets around the world we are seeing a new age of people doing work.
We live in the "free agent" world where entreprenuers and people willing and excited by risk and reward. Virtual teams are the future of work, and you can benefit from their advance. So what are the staples of online and virtual teams? Online conference rooms, websites, social networking, cell phones, and PDA's. All of these "things" have their part to play, but the staple of true teams are people. In the talent driven competative world we see those teams that can accumulate, train, and keep high quality talent through challenging them, encouraging them, and not stifeling their spirit is the true measure of how well your team strategy works.
These are people who enjoy doing their own thing. To put arbitrary constraints on their creativity and passion for being themselves is like shackling a bear. It's going to piss them off. You can see our training office for our virtual team here. Check it out.

28. Is knowledge power? If there was one thing I'd like to go back in my life and do, it would be to have learned business at an early age.
I can honestly say that I ddin't really like business people very much when I was a kid and through my young adulthood. I'm not quite sure why that is, but it's true.
Why would I like to go back in time? Well, for one ten years ago the Internet was pretty new to the scene, and it would have been much simpler to build an amazing business then. But more than that, it would have really given me the focus I needed to study how business works, the strategies, the way value is created, and how to communicate well within a certain marketplace.
But I studied English literature, which isn't so bad. I guess you could say that at times I'm a little "right-brained" for my own good. Business was not easy for me to learn, but I really love the principles of what business represents ~ the trade of value for value is pretty amazing, how we have structure our society on this seemingly arbitrary system that just plain works.
I like adding value to my marketplace, I think what I may lack in pure marketing skill I may make up for in knowledge. And that is why I'd have liked to acquire more knowledge about business ~ because it truely is power within your market.

29. The 7 Golden Words Strategy Richard Paul Evans the author of "The 5 Lessons A Millionare Taught Me" and the co-founder (along with Robert Allen) of BookWise has a lesson in his book that goes a really long way in getting to the core of doing your best everyday.
His 7 golden words question, can be asked in almost any situation: "Is that the best you can do?" I ask my eleven-year-old son this question all the time, when doing homework, his chores, almost anytime he's doing something he doesn't like to do, he'll do it half-ass. And I'll ask him, "Is that the best you can do?" Most of the time he'll answer with a resounding "no." But sometimes he'll say yes. Then I know he's telling the truth.
People talk about finding your purpose in life, and how until you do you'll feel a little uneasy with what you're doing with your time and energy. I know this has been true for me throughout my life. I spent an entire decade working in a profession I loved, firefighting, until one day I realized I couldn't stand it anymore. So I walked away. Sometimes I wonder if that was the right thing to do, and I have to admit that it was. I no longer could answer "yes" to the "7 golden words" and there was no hope of getting my passion for my job back. It was too painful.
There are those people on the Internet in business, that obviously don't love what they're doing. They do it for the money, or the fame, or whatever it is. These people will never last, they can't answer yes to the "7 golden words".
I love what I do. I seek out new information everyday to improve myself. I apply myself to doing, writing, improving, and I everyday I am doing my best. Are you?

30. Does fear hold you back? God, the fear of being ridiculed. What holds you back in your life? I know for me there have been a few things that have prevented me from moving forward as quickly in my life and business as I probably could have.
I'm not really talking about lack of knowledge, although that plays a part in my own lack of success. I'm talking about fear. . . good old fear. That gut wrenching emotion that grinds your mental accumen to a screetching halt. I've had it, and I continue to suffer from it from time to time, although as I get older I seem to suffer less and less
Where do you think fear comes from? For me I think, being a total Type A personality, I suffer from fear when I feel out of control of my life.
Financial insecurity, financial ruin, these things really seem like they are possible at times. What if??? What if my business goes down the tubes? What if my car goes T.U.? I always tend to latch on to the most negative scenario and run with it.

31. Simple Business Funding Strategy If there was one secret I wish I'd known 3 years ago, when I started my Internet business, it would be the concept of the "funded proposal." At the time there was no true strategy I could follow.
Why couldn't I follow a strategy?
1) Being broke at the time, I didn't have money to pay for marketing or leads. Yet I didn't know the concept of social marketing, or the funded proposal either. And I wondered why my business was dead in the water with no real hope of being saved.
2) I wasn't in the right headspace to follow directions and commit to a strategy. An expert could have presented me with the complete concept of social networking and funded proposals - I could have seen the sense in the concept. But I wouldn't have followed their advice, because I was in the wrong frame of mind to build a business.
Getting over these self-imposed roadblocks was the biggest hurdle I've had to overcome in my business life. I doubted too much. I doubted my own abilities and I doubted the people around me.
So how did I finally put myself in a position to succeed?
After A LOT of sweat and tears, I naturally started seeing some results from the random stuff I was doing on the Internet.
Mind you this wasn't focused blogging or anything. I started seeing prospects naturally being attracted to my personal Myspace page, my blog, I started meeting people while I was playing poker, and I started slowly having people contact me, and I started making a little money.
But it wasn't sustainable, because I had no extended strategy for success, I had no leverage.
I needed a complete primer on how to strategically use the Internet to attract people interested in what I was offering. It's silly, but I actually believed there was some kind of "top-secret" button I could push to make people come to my replicated website. Sometimes it surprises me, I ever actually started making money at all.
My business only became truly profitable when I was presented with step by step information from someone who knew the secrets of the "self-funded" proposal.
If you don't know what that is, it's the ideas that Mike Dillard, Ann Seig, and many of the so-called "big-hitters" use to fund their businesses up front. The most effective and step-by-step presentation of social networking and funded proposal can be found at Renegade University
Renegade U totally demonstrates, for the biggest rookie to the advanced marketer, how to make a profit on the "front-end" so you automatically pay for your prospecting. This is a mind blowing concept that can be applied to any business from Internet marketing to plumbing, I wish they'd been around three years ago, it would have saved me thousands of hours and lots of dollars.
Thank you,

32. How Smart is Your Strategy in Business? If you run any kind of business you've probably wondered if there was anything you could do to improve your strategy in business. I know I did, as the great adman Jay Conrad Levinson says "I know half my ad budget doesn't work, I just don't know which half!"
I knew I was wasting most of my time persuing strategies that didn't bring results, or money on products that just gave me the same rehashed old information, and I spent energy that never paid off.
So that's where I started. The only real resource I had was energy to spend on the right strategy. Wasting this energy was no longer an option for me because it was my only competitive advantage. If you don't have a bunch of money for marketing, and we all get 24 hours a day so your only advantage is energy too!
The Japanese have a strategy called Kaizen which very simply means: ‰ü ('kai') KAI means 'change' or 'the action to correct'.
‘P ('zen') ZEN means 'good'.
So we have "the action to correct to good" - which ultimately means for my business the "constant process of getting better in pursuit of perfection." This is my smart strategy in business, and I see little constant improvements in my business profits and my effectiveness in getting things done well.
If you are looking to improve your marketing everyday I recommend Renegade University You will see an immediate improvement in your business, I recommend it.

33. Business Strategies Learned From Real Life Experience I was a firefighter for many years, in fire we rarely used the word "strategy" but we thought about it all the time. Strategy, really is just a process of:
1) Observing what is happening in the world around you
2) Becoming Aware of Your Current Position Within Your Environment
3) Being Aware of What Pat Experience Has Taught You
4) Formulating A Plan of Action Which Allows Room For Escape, if Need Be
5) Following Through With Your Plan With an Eye For Danger or Opportunity
It's pretty simple, and I believe that in business, strategy is probably one of the most underutilized strengths that all people can use to their benefit, if they become aware of what is going on with them, and around them. It's pretty simple.
But, it is also quite hard to transition your everyday knowledge about life, into a business setting.
a) Because we don't know the rules of our new "business" environment.
b) Because we don't know how to spot danger or opportunity within it.
This, for me was probably the biggest transition from the "employed" mentality to the "entrepreneur" mindset. I had to move out of the thinking that if I was going to be safe I'd better listen to those people who seem like experts, and get into the head of "I NEED to become an expert within this environment!"
Had I just simply relied upon anyone to keep me safe while fighting fire, I'd be dead now. I had to become aware of safe and effective strategies that worked, I had to learn each lesson slowly, assuring for my safety to the best of my ability.
Was I always safe? No. But I lived through the experience, and at the end of my career, people around me praised my mastery of the simple strategies of firefighting. Business is the same, but with less risk. You shouldn't go into business by taking a giant leap of faith, it should be a planned step into the business arena. And baby steps from there to insure your mastery of each small strategy one-by-one, until you are a master business person.
A simple business strategy that has worked wonders for me is Renegade University. It's an excellent start to mastering web business strategy. Thanks, A leader with a servant's heart, Jesse Boland
34. Strategy: Done for today Today my marketing strategy was pretty simple. I've been reading Chet Holme's The Ultimate Sales Machine and I've really been enjoying it. It's well written, well thought out, and gives very practical advice to someone who's has a tendancy to be impractical.
If you don't know who Chet Holmes is, he's one of the biggest names in business, I'd say he's just one step below Jay Abraham. Anyhow before I get off on too big of a tangent. Mr. Holmes' strategy that I'm applying to my life is time management and focus.
Like many folks I struggle to stay focused on tasks, especially when I'm left up to my own devices. I'll check my email, then I'll check one of my accounts to make sure I got paid, or I'll check my adsense account to see "how well I'm doing today." Then I'll think of all the things I have to do today, and get overwhelmed by the amount of "stuff".
Well Mr. Holmes give a bunch of great advice about pigheaded dicipline and determination. Fact is I put too much stuff on my plate. Then I wonder why I am confused about where to go. The strategy now is: Have only 6 Things to Do on Your List Each Day.
If you're anything like me you have between 4 and 400 things you could be doing from day to day, but Holmes says you only need to do 6 things per day to become amazingly more effective in your productivity gains. I have seen a large jump in my own productivity, and the length by which I can focus on a specific task with no distraction.
Today following Chet Holmes' business strategy I got my entire Veretekk system configured, and linked together. It was an amzing feat and my mind is a little twisted from the exhertion, but I don't have to wake up tommorow and worry about getting my systme configured, what a relief huh? Now I can move onto the next task, writing the autoresponders I'm going to start sending out to folks who sign up to one of my traffic portals.
I seriously doubt I'll be able to get all those done in one day, but that's okay since it's about progress and not perfection right. So that's all for tonight since it's almost 2 AM. Thanks for listening and make sure to check out my Recession proof strategy in business site at Sohomatic.com
35. Team Building Strategies Have You ever looked for a real competitive advantage in business?
Especially for the small or small home business owner, having a group or team of people with whom they can mastermind and discuss strategy is probably the biggest advantage you can actually have in business. I know for me just having people who I can talk to and ask their honest opinion of has been pretty lifechanging for me and the quality of the work that I do. Having that "objective eye" looking at something I do gives me impetus to do better work, make sure everything looks and sounds good and to keep myself disciplined in my everyday activities.
I've been working on a Team building website that really goes in depth about the benefits of working with a great team. and how the small home business or Internet based business owner can really improve their processes and strategies about doing quality business on the Internet. Thanks.

36. Business Strategy Beyond the Limits of Planning Strategy Beyond the Limits of Planning: Why "Strategic Planning" is a Contradiction in Termsby Gary Gagliardi While most business people understand the value of planning, traditional planning only works in controlled environments where information about the future is good. It doesn't work in competitive environments where little can be known about the future. The value of strategy is that it creates success beyond our information horizon. Planning is critical in internal operations. The internal environment must be organized. Quality comes from eliminating sources of unpredictability and variation by continuously improving standards. This control tightens the product specifications, the timing of deliveries, and a host of other processes. Strict standards only improves quality while reducing costs. But standards only work within our span of control. Controlled environments consist of well-defined players whose future actions are directed by management. Competitive environments consist of unknown actors whose future actions are determined by their unplanned choices. In controlled environments, the future can be known to some degree of accuracy. In competitive environments, the only guide to the future is the past. Planning in a competitive environment is like driving a car forward when you can only see out the rear window. The past do not predict the future in markets because new alternatives are continuously being offered. This creative input into the market means that customer choices are always changing. Those that try to control those choices invariably lose to those that offer better choices. If planning worked, the Soviet Union and Communist China would have ruled the world. Instead, they discovered the limits of planning. In a chaotic, dynamic marketplace, planning in the sense of extending internal control into the external marketplace simply cannot work. New businesses, products, and ideas create most economic growth but most new businesses, products, and ideas fail. Free markets work because new ideas are allowed to fail. Though a small percentage of failures come from poor internal control, the vast majority come from poor external strategy. Good planning depends upon know how to create predictable outcomes, but good strategy depends upon knowing how to recognize and correctly adjust to unpredictable outcomes. Competitive success is not an accident. The science of strategy works effectively beyond the limits of control. The study of strategy arose from military confrontations where armed conflict clearly demonstrated the limits of control. In conflict, plans collide. There are winners and losers, but what Sun Tzu saw was that the winners were never those who simply stuck with their plans and relied upon their power to control the situation. Instead, he saw that the winners were always those who knew how to best adjust to the dynamic nature of the situation, leveraging the power of the environment to create an advantage. Traditional planning defines a clear sequence of steps toward a precisely defined result. Classical strategy analyzes extremely complex dynamic environments to identify opportunities. Instead of series of specific steps, good strategy is a recursive process that seeks openings by analyzing the relative strengths and weaknesses of positions. Success in advancing positions is a general process not a specific plan. If you analyze any long-term strategic success, you will see that progress is made in a series of fits and starts, where many paths are explored, but only a few of those paths prove successful. In that search for an advantage, certain principles must be followed. After success is achieved, you can identify the roles that the key factors and principles of positioning played in that process, but you can also see how planning that success would have been impossible because the key information that led to that success had to be discovered by the strategic process itself. To learn more about how to use the science of strategy to improve you own success in competitive environments, visit Strategy-Shop.com for books, CDs, and DVDs about the Science of Strategy.
37. The 9 Primary Formulas of Sun Tzu's Strategy The 9 Primary Formulas of Sun Tzu's Strategy The 9 Primary Formulas of Sun Tzu's Strategy
by Gary Gagliardi
Below are the 9 primary formulas in Sun Tzu's The Art of War. These formulas are abbreviated from those in our newest book 9 Formulas for Business Success: the Science of Strategy, which explains Sun Tzu's concepts in business terms. Though we simplify these formula and use more less business-like terminology here, the underlying concepts in these formulas encapsulate Sun Tzu's strategic system.
This is absolutely, positively our most condensed expression of the science of strategy. For a more complete picture, we recommend this article on the 47 Key Principles of Sun Tzu. We are eliminating a lot of important detail here (and the magic is in the details), but this list will give you the quickest possible overview of the Science of Strategy. These formulas follow the Progress Cycle of Listen-Aim-Move-Claim, advancing a position into new territory. However, several of these formulas sit on the borders of those specific steps.
- The "Nine-Part Analysis" Formula (A Position = Span of Control + External Environment + Ground + Climate + Command + Methods + Focus + Unity):
- This formula provides a framework for organizing what you hear. Strategy is the science of advancing positions. Positions exist as a span of control in the external environment. The external environment consists of the ground, which the provides physical resources and the climate, which are the forces driving change. The span of control consists of command, which is a decision-maker, and methods, which are process of interacting with others. A position is also defined by a mission, that provide focus for decision-maker and unity for the people within the organization. This nine ingredients allow you to compare the relative strengths and weakness of different competitors within the environment.
- The "Find Friends" Formula (Perspective = Information X (Old Pros + Young Eyes + Customer Connections + Competitive Contacts + Champions):
- This second formula dictates of people we need to gather information from. Seeing strategic positions requires the perspective of a broad range of viewpoints. Each individual has a unique viewpoint, but every viewpoint is inherently limited by its own position. To get perspective on your situation, you need to talk to 1) old pros, who are familiar with your competitive area, 2) young eyes, who are seeing your competitive area for the first time, 3) customer connections, who see your situation from the viewpoint of a consumer, 4) competitor contacts, who can give you inside information on your competitors, and 5) champions, neutral parties who espouse your mission.
- The "Observe Opportunities" Formula (Opportunity= Excess resources + Open Territory + Resource Fit):
- The concept of spotting new opportunities is called "aim." You only look for new opportunities when you have excess resources that you don't need to defend or develop your existing position. Opportunities exist as openings in the environment that allow you to advance your position in the direction of your mission. You cannot create opportunities. These openings are created by change. Positions are advanced by recognizing open territory and the ability to use existing resources to take advantage of them.
- The "Recognize Restrictions" Formula (Restrictions = Distance + Obstacles + Dangers.):
- When picking a direction to move, you must avoid getting trapped in dead-ends. Since no position is permanent, each position must be evaluated both on its own merits and as a stepping-stone to future positions. This means that before you move to a new position you have to consider how easily it will be to defend or advance. While you cannot know all the rewards or costs before making a move, you must think about at least three key restrictions of any potential new position. "Distance" is the idea of that positions can be either confined or spread-out. Confined positions are easy to defend but limited. Spread-out positions are impossible to defend. In terms of obstacles, positions can be either open or barricaded. Open positions are easy to get into but hard to defend. Barricaded positions are expensive to get into but easy to defend. The danger of a position is its connection to future positions. The two dangers are peak positions and one-way positions. Peak positions lead to no higher position and cannot be surrendered without weakening your overall position. One-way positions can be used for future advances, but if you advance from them, your cannot return to them.
- The "Minimize Mistakes" Formula (Less Investment = More Success):
- Every new move is an experiment.
- An opportunity is just an opening. You cannot know before hand exactly where the opening leads. Despite the pretensions of planning, if you are moving into new territory, you cannot know either the total cost of making a move or its potential reward. The purpose of every movement is discovery, but the operating orders for every move is to reach the closest valuable position in the direction of the move with the minimum expenditure of resources in the fastest possible time. As generally applied, this rule means setting clear time horizons for a more to pay off. This is critically important because of the very human tendency to throw good money after bad, with the hope that the promised land is just over the next rise. It is much better to fund a lot of little experiments in different directions than to stake a large sum in one direction alone. One large success can cover a lot of little failures, but one large failure can doom a lot of little successes. Once a position proves valuable, you can always invest more in developing it further.
- The "Undermine Uncertainty" Formula (Movement = Common Traffic Conditions + Appropriate Response): You cannot know before hand what conditions you will encounter on a move into a new area but you can be prepared to correctly identify and respond to the type of "traffic," i.e. the movement of others, that you encounter. Classical strategy teaches that there are nine common competitive situations that you will encounter. Each has one and only one appropriate response. You undermine uncertainty by adaptability. Adaptability has three parts: 1) recognizing the situation you are in, 2) knowing the specific response required, and 3) being willing to use that response no matter what your original plans. For most, step three is the hardest. The longer a move, the wider the variety of conditions you will encounter and the most times you will have to change your plans to adapt to the situation at hand.
- The "Leverage Leaps" Formula (Strategic Momentum = Standards + Innovation): In classical strategy, momentum is a critical psychological component to advancing a position. Strategic momentum is not created simply by constant progress. It is created by doing what is completely unexpected at a critical time to overcome resistance to progress. To create the surprise on which strategic momentum depends, you must first create expectations. You create expectations by consistent performance. Consistent performance is made possible by standard methods. Standards are the basis for quality. Standards make some gradual progress predictable but unremarkable. At a critical turning point, standard practices must be abandoned and replaced with an innovative approach, something unexpected. Innovation alone creates surprise and can overcome any obstacles. Successful innovations eventually become the new basis for standard practice. Innovation and standard practices form a system of complementary opposites that creates momentum.
-
- The "Acquire Awards" Formula (Valuable Position = Profit = Right Needs + Matching Methods): A successful move is a battle won, but Sun Tzu taught that the goal is not victory, but making victory pay. Positions are judged only by how well controlling them pays. Sun Tzu's taught that natureseeks to fill "empty" conditions by emptying "full" conditions. In economics, emptiness equates to need and fullness equates to methods that produce value. In classical strategy, profit comes from combining the right methods with the right needs. The purpose of making a move to a new position is to put the right methods together with their matching needs so that the emptiness/fullness exchange can take place. Classical strategy teaches that while moving to the right position is a critical part of this transfer, other catalysts such as showmanship and relationship are also often necessary.
- The "Secure Safety" Formula (Defense = Knowing Targets + Countering Attacks):
All profitable positions will be challenged. There are five targets that opponents can target for attack. There are five different approaches that they can use. Defending a profitable position is a matter of protecting potential targets by countering those attacks. Though knowing the different techniques of countering attack are important, the single most important rule to defense is that the attackers actions are never as important as your own response. Emotional defensive responses, whether over-reactions or under reactions, are always more destructive than the attack itself.
 38. Building on a Budget: Share Your intelligent business strategy? If you're network marketing you understand the value of the internet to your business.
You also understand how transparent the internet is. Just the nature of the Internet your business strategy is transparent to your target market, it is also clear to your competition.
But if you are truly a master of business, you're okay with this because you can always stay a few steps ahead of your competitors. You're building your business based on mastering the skills, leveraging your time, and probably most important helping people improve their skills. So whether or not you're willing to share your strategy, you are doing it. Thanks.

Jesse Boland 39. Is Education the Ultimate Business Strategy It's said that: Leaders are readers. Why do you think that is. I have some guesses and I'd like to share them with you if you don't mind.
But let me just say this first : did you know that only 10% of the U.S. population is considered people considered "learners"? That is people who ultimately seek out to improve their treasure chest of knowledge and solve their problems by seeking and discovering solutions to them. When I heard that statistic in one of Chet Holmes' books, it almost knocked me out of my chair.
But once I really started thinking about it I really started to see the sense in what Holmes was saying. I've always been considered "different" in the way I go about things. For example, I remember in my late teens I really wanted to teach myself how to flyfish. So I bought a flyrod and a fly tying kit and taught myself how to do it. Just tying a fly was one of the most tedious and excruciating processes I'd ever gone through. After I'd been tying flies for about a month I looked at my collection of flies and saw I must have tied 500 of the most god-awful ugly flies in the history of fly fishing.
But I didn't quit, I looked for a better book, better supplies, and better equipment in order to tie better flies. Mind you I was in college with a newborn baby, and fly tying equipment is pretty far down on the foodchain, literally. But I couldn't stop improving upon each fly, until finally, after about three months of diligent work I was tying professional grade flies quickly. And let me tell you the feeling of catching your first trout on a fly you've tied yourself is very rewarding.
So back to the subject of this journal entry. Is learning your competitive advantage in business? I'd have to say a resounding yes. Just think, as a learner you can eliminate almost 90% of your competition right off the bat. That's pretty encouraging, huh? Thank you.

Jesse Boland 40. Can Education Attract a Better Prospect? If you have been in a home business for any length of time you'll probably have some idea of who your perfect prospect is. What do they look like? Do you know? Lack of strategy is the number one killer of small home businesses.
Why do people fail so often? Because they haven't been educated to build their business in a strategic way. They haven't built an attractive network of information that calls to their target market, gives them the exact information they'd like to know about. Great marketing educates, it never pitches.
Chet Holmes the great business builder and strategist, is a maven for giving qualified people quality information. That's it. Give your target market the information they seek. I call it transformation marketing, it's transparent, it's quality, it fact.
Why does it work so well? Because when you give your target market the exact information they're looking for, you position yourself as an expert solution provider. It's really a simple strategy.
So what are some great principles to use to make your educational prospecting pay off?
1) Be patient. Jay Conrad Levinson, the great advertiser and the source of the Pillsbury Doughboy, Jolly Green Giant, and the Marlboro Man says that lack of commitment is the true reason why people's marketing fails. Commit to your educational marketing. Stick with it.
2) Make your educational marketing pay off by keeping your message simple, to the point, and on point. If you can keep your message quality information that targets a better buyer, you'll attract a better prospect to work with. It's all about target marketing. This is fishing with a fishhook, your information is the bait. If you can figure out who you want to talk to you'll get exactly who you want.
3) Respect your prospects. If you can be consistant with your actions, with your messages, with your words, you will show your target market you care about them.

Jesse Boland41. Does the Teacher really appear when you are ready? For a long time I struggled pretty mightily to figure out how to build a steady income from home. In most of these cases I found myself surrounded by people, some who meant well and others that just wanted the money I had in my pocket. In most cases these people didn't have my best interests in mind. The well-wishers well incompetent while the greedy money-suckers wouldn't show the "gameplan" In both cases it felt like knowledge was being hidden from me, and I began distrusting that I would ever begin to make an honest living from home. It was only when I stopped depending on others, and really began applying the small lessons, that I started seeing the bigger picture.
So what is the big picture?
I believe is that you have to take the first real step by yourself. Get yourself into action first and with the energy you create by moving forward by yourself you naturally create the momentum that brings better things into your life. You might say "that sounds like that power or law of attraction" and I guess it is. But I think the attraction part only really happens when you're ready to be attractive. When you see the good things you bring to any relationship. When you're wracked with F.U.D.S: Fears Uncertainties and Doubts, it makes it hard to really begin to formulate a good business strategy, to position yourself for success. I think that's probably the biggest lesson I personally had to learn was, work on myself first before doing anything else. As you do that you'll find that the teacher truly does appear, because the teacher is you. As you begin to be able to trust your thought, you also begin to see the opportunities in life's everyday moments. I encourage you to look for the opportunity you'll find in our marketing university
With a servant's heart,
Jesse Boland 42. What is the Cost of Learning? For years I dreamed of living an easy life, trying to get ahead and spending my days fishing and reading. I went to school and got really good grades, I also worked like a dog for the U.S. Forest Service as a Hotshot firefighter for 10 years. I thought it was my career until I broke my back and was laid up for 4 months. My saving grace was my education, but not for any reason you might expect. I was an English major in college, I studied things like post-modern literary theory and other weird stuff that no-one really understands. What studying concepts like literature did for me was it made me think laterally rather than vertically. Edward Debono the great writer and psychologist talked about the Green Hat in his wonderful book The Six Thinking Hats. Lateral thinking is the creative side of your brain that senses and intuits. I personally tend to be a very logical, rational thinker, so training in lateral thinking was a giant stretch for me. I'm very glad I received my education because it has allowed me to think creativly about business. Especially in these tough economic times where others are losing their jobs to outsourcing and being laid off. An Education is probably the one truly recession proof business strategy you can invest in because any learned knowledge is marketable knowledge. Thanks for listening.

Jesse Boland 43. Home Business Kaizen and the Art of Continual Improvement If there was one thing is struggled with when I started my home business it was strategy. I didn't have one, and I didn't really know where to go to get one. So I spent my time barking up the wrong tree, not knowing exactly what I should do, or how to do it even if I did. So I stopped everything. I was lucky because I believe that entreprenuriel spirit or whatevr just runs naturally through my blood, so I looked in new areas to find "how to run" a home business in the right way. I established a website totally unrelated to anything that had to do with home business, strategy, or anything of the sort. I ran a home business based on the 1920's and fashion if you can believe it! ANd with that experience it taught me how to run a more business focused website, which has in turn morphed into this post. It was only when I really let go of what I was doing and looked at the philosophy of Kaizen: the Japanese "art of continual improvement in business" and life that I really found the secret to true home business success. It came naturally, just like the flower to a well-tended plant. If you're looking to improve how "you do" your home business or business strategy, I recommend our recession proof home business strategy to begin making continual small improvements in your life and your business. Thank you.
With a servant's heart,
Jesse Boland 44. Is education a recession proof business strategy? There are many answers to how to make money in a recession. For me I don't want to profit from the suffering of people who can't help themselves. I read recently that the places you want to look to make money are in the "vices" the ciggarettes and alcohol markets during times of economic hardship. This seems really cold hearted to me. Especially as a recovering alcoholic I could never morally make money from the suffering and ill health of people who are out of work, not looking to improve their lot in life.
I seems much more beneficial to work with people whom are actively looking to improve themselves, their education, their station, and marketability in times of a down economy. I believe education is the one true recession proof market because their are always going to be people who are seeking to improve themselves in every market. The great business mind, Peter Drucker has said webucation is going to be a multi-billion dollar market in the next decade and I tend to believe him. With the outsourcing of American jobs to more and more developing countries we will see an increasing amout of lost AMerican jobs and I think this is going to position those who know how to fend for themselves more and more toward success. A home based business, with the skills it takes to run one effectively, could be the perfect business for those whom want to improve their lot in life, and increase their marketability in the global marketplace.

Jesse Boland45. How To Recession Proof Your Job Network yourself to success by making yourself indispensable
The unemployment rate has surged up to 5% the highest mark since nearly a decade ago, just after 9/11 and the dot com bust. Pretty scary news for those of us who have worked in the sales and mortgage industry, since with the subprime mortgage crisis and defaulted loans all over the country.
So how do you make yourself too important to let go of? Take on extra projects. Anybody with the foresight to start looking for recession proof strategies can take on a little more responsibility at work, do a little better job, or network a little more with the "powers that be". Be smart about opportunities as they present themselves to you. These might look like a better position with more security, a pay raise, or the ability to go rub elbows with great networking contacts like on a campaign trail etc.

Jesse Boland 46. The Recession and Retirement Age Parents I was thinking today about my dad, he's right at retirement age and has invested really well for the last 20 years or so. He's your typical blue collar investor, pretty frugal, he's not aggressive with his hard-earned money by any means. It's surprising to me how someone can work somewhere for thirty years and then a bad spell comes along and kind of pours cold water all ove their retirement. Both my parents, being single, are at retirement age. Both have worked hard their entire lives, yet what do they really have to show for it. They're not recession proof, very few people are. But they also have bought into the idea that somehow they'd be taken care of when they got to retirement age, and it snuck up on them so quickly I don't think they knew what hit them. It's pretty freakin scary. Especially for my generation with all the talk of recession, I'm just really happy I've taken the steps to recession proof my life, with intellegent strategy in business. It's been really important to me to tkae these steps toward financial freedom even though I'm not there yet. The skills I have learned by applying myself to digging into recession proof business strategies will pan gold for me in the coming years. I'm very thankful for that.
With a servant's heart,
Jesse Boland47. Recession Proof Business Strategies So today I've been thinking about recession proof business strategy and how for many years I worked as a firefighter without any real thought to the future. It seems as though the first step in setting down a business strategy is realizing you have a problem that you need to fix. Kind of like an alcohomic who nevr realizes why their life is always in the toilet, blue-collar workers such as myself and most of my friends never really gave a whole lot of thought to "going into business" for ourselves. I was one of the lucky ones to get touched by the entrepreneurial spirit. Though I went into my home business without any type of strategy or knowledge about building a business. ANd for the first year I flailed around like a fish trying to figure out why I wasn't seeing success. That was tough, as someone with a lot of drive to succeed and someone who has succeeded in just about everything I've ever done, coming up with a business strategy was something totally foreign to me. I think the biggest key to establishing what your business strategy is is figuring out who you are, what are your aspirations and dreams. Where are your assets and your deficiencies? At first it probably will feel strange to think of yourself as "a business owner." I know it was for me. I felt really strange telling people "I own my own business." And then having to explain to them how I build websites. Usually people end up thinking that is more of a hobby. They don't understand how a website business strategy can bring in passive income day after day. But as I've moved forward with my business I have come to accept the fact that most people don't have the drive to learn how too build a real business on the internet, and that's okay.
With a servant's heart,
Jesse Boland48. Recession proof | Home Based Business Strategy As I've said the media keeps blabbering about "recession". I'm sure if you're someone who's close to retirement age, this can pretty much freak you out thinking that you might not have enough to retire. And with the inflation rates being so high any extra income you're making is probably being absorbed.
So how do you recession proof your life? Is there a home based business strategy that you can follow to make sure you and your family are taken care of in the hard economic times ahead. I'm happy to say that this scenario looks pretty good for the well positioned home based business owner, because with people looking for extra income a home based business is just the thing people will be open to listening to.
I know I was when I left my career job as a firefighter when I got hurt and could no longer keep up with the physicality of the profession. Personally it was really tough because I didn't have any real marketable "skill". My saving grace was really that I had the desire to learn, and the drive to apply myself come hell or high water to building a full-time income from home.
With a servant's heart,
Jesse Boland49. The Recession Business What do you think of all the talk about the recession? You hear it everywhere the nightly news, the newpapers have it all over their pages, it's pretty scary when you're in the group that is always being talked about. The fact is over the next several years we are going to see an huge shift in consumer spending.
But is there some kind of conspiracy going on? You better believe it. Their is so much money for big businesses to gain by freaking out the little guys like you and me you wouldn't believe it.
It's pretty strange to think of what kind of businesses benefit from a scared populace. They say in a recession the products yo should invest in are things like alcohol and cigarettes because people are so scared they don't know what to do.
With a servant's heart,
Jesse Boland 50. Recession Proof Strategy in Business To Recession Proof Your Life Everywhere you look, everything you hear everybody is screaming about the recession and how it's going to change everything. It seems like this country goes through a crisis everytime we see change on the horizon. But gues who isn't panicking? If you said home based business owners you'd be right. See in this country we have fallen into the trap of thinking we need a job to get by. We have an employee mentality telling us that we need someone else to take care of us, this is really a backward view.
Yes the American economy is in the toilet, but it's our own damn fault. People need to start taking some initiative in developing the skills of taking care of themselves. It's really important to make yourself "recession proof" in this new global economy by using wise strategy in business and investing in yourself and your portfolio. Relentless focus on the things that make you recession proof i.e. learning the skills that make you valuable to the global economy is really the true measure of your strength as a business owner.
